I wrote this poem recently during a spontaneous moment of inspiration in my kitchen. I often have worship music playing while I'm cooking, cleaning, or doing laundry. If you make room to talk to Jesus and worship him during every day, ordinary moments, He will surprise you in ordinary moments that are specific and unique to you. It's moments like this that makes me want to dream of pursuing a writing career full time one day. Here is the poem, "Out Of The Blue."
Out of the blue
You came in
With your relentless pursuit
And your reckless love.
Out of the blue
You appeared
Changing my mind
And changing my heart.
Out of the blue
There you were
Tearing down my walls
Brick by brick.
Out of the blue
You swept in
Loosening my grasp
On my imprisoned heart.
Out of the blue
Your love flooded me
Conquering my fears,
Setting this captive free.
Out of the blue
I am free
No longer afraid
Of what might not be.
Out of the blue
My heart soars high
Because you paid the price
As I come alive again.
You came in
With your relentless pursuit
And your reckless love.
Out of the blue
You appeared
Changing my mind
And changing my heart.
Out of the blue
There you were
Tearing down my walls
Brick by brick.
Out of the blue
You swept in
Loosening my grasp
On my imprisoned heart.
Out of the blue
Your love flooded me
Conquering my fears,
Setting this captive free.
Out of the blue
I am free
No longer afraid
Of what might not be.
Out of the blue
My heart soars high
Because you paid the price
As I come alive again.
