About Dietrich Schaefer
Dietrich enjoys sharing with others how Jesus has carried her through some very difficult life experiences. In 2012, Dietrich and her husband, Mark, experienced their first loss when they lost a child through a miscarriage. With all of the complications and restrictions that they dealt with regarding Mark's compromised health situation on a regular basis, this loss was the last thing they thought God would allow to happen. Shortly after the miscarriage, Mark and Dietrich were on an emotional rollercoaster dealing with a second pregnancy and Mark's failing health. Dietrich's husband passed away in 2013 due to complications from a long term illness. At 31 years old, Dietrich became a widow and a single parent to their son, Ryan.
Dietrich loves to share her thoughts and experiences with grief, struggles of being a single parent, and everything in between. Her goal in life is to show others that God is just as faithful in the dark times of life as He is in the good times of life. Dietrich enjoys the life that the Lord has given her, and in her spare time, she spends time with her son and family, hiking, going on new adventures, and helping out in different ministries through her church. Currently, Dietrich lives in north Alabama and works at a day habilitation center for adults with intellectual disabilities.
